Autopay

Introducing a great new way to pay with 2degrees Prepay. With Autopay, you can buy and renew eligible Prepay Packs and Combos straight from your Credit or Debit Card without the faff of topping up your phone.

How it works

Autopay is a handy way to take care of your monthly Prepay Packs and Combos, by charging them directly to the Credit or Debit Card of your choice, instead of relying on you topping up your phone balance.

Simply set it up, turn it on and you can buy and renew your Prepay Packs and Combos straight from your chosen card each month, giving you one less thing to worry about.

Who can use it

Prepay customers buying or renewing any of our current Prepay Add-ons or Carryover Combos, even Roaming Packs.

Here are all our Prepay Packs and Combos that can use Autopay.

Your Credit or Debit Card needs to be registered with us in order for you to turn on Autopay.

Turn off Autopay

Time to move on? Don’t worry, if you don’t need to use Autopay anymore, you can turn it off in the Mobile app or Your 2degrees. Just follow the steps below to turn it off.

Turn off in the App

  • Open the App
  • Tap on the ‘Menu’ button
  • Tap on ‘Account settings’
  • Tap on the ‘Turn off Autopay’ button
  • That’s it, we’ve turned it off

Turn off in Your 2degrees

  • Log in to Your 2degrees
  • Head to the ‘Top up’ page
  • Go to the ‘Manage Payment Options’ page
  • Then click the ‘Turn off’ button in the Autopay section of ‘Your Payment Methods’
  • That’s it, we’ve turned it off

You can turn it on again any time you like, but you’ll need to set it up again.

What happens if my card declines?

If your card declines for whatever reason and we can’t renew your Prepay Add-on or Combo, we will try again using a different payment method, like your phone credit or Pack Assist.

We’ll keep you in the loop by text so you know what’s going on.

Will my Carryover Combo and Value Pack renew at the same time?

Your Carryover Combo and Value Packs will continue to renew on the same dates as they did before you turned on Autopay. That means if your Combo renews on the 18th, and your Value Pack renews on the 22nd, they’ll tick on these dates as per usual.

Can I have Autopay for my Carryover Combo but not my Value Pack?

To keep things simple, if Autopay is turned on and you have a Carryover Combo and a Value Pack, both will renew via Autopay. That way you won’t be in a bind when your Carryover Combo renews but you forget to renew your 1GB NZ Data Pack. Easy!

Can I use my Prepay credit to buy a Pack if I’ve got Autopay turned on?

We like to keep things simple, so if you’ve got Autopay turned on, we’ll use it for all your Prepay Pack purchases and renewals. If you want to use the credit on your phone, just pop in to Your 2degrees or the Mobile App and turn off Autopay. Then you can use the balance on your phone to buy a Pack. If you want to use Autopay for your renewals, you’ll just need to pop back in afterwards and turn it on again.
