Tired of remembering to top up your phone to renew your Prepay Add-ons or Combos each month? Make this a thing of the past, with Autopay.

How it works

Autopay is a handy way to take care of your monthly Prepay renewals, by charging them directly to the Credit or Debit Card of your choice, instead of relying on you topping up your phone balance.

Simply set it up, turn it on and your Prepay renewal will be charged automatically to your card each month, giving you one less thing to worry about.

Who can use it

Prepay customers with an active renewing Prepay Add-on or Carryover Combo.

See the ‘Things you need to know’ below for a full list of eligible Add-ons and Combos.

Your Credit or Debit Card needs to be registered with us in order for you to turn on Autopay.

Turn on Autopay

You can turn on Autopay really easily in the 2degees Mobile App or Your 2degrees. Just follow the simple steps below and you’ll be cooking with gas in no time.

Turn on in the App

  • Open the App
  • Tap on the menu button
  • Tap on ‘Account Settings’
  • Tap on the ‘Autopay’ button
  • Tap on the ‘Turn on’ button
  • Add a new card (or choose an existing card)
  • Submit a new card
  • Your Autopay is now turned on

Turn on in Your 2degrees

  • Log in to Your 2degrees
  • Head to the ‘Top up’ page
  • Go to the ‘Manage Payment Options’ page
  • Then ‘Automatic Payments’
  • Then click the ‘Set up’ button for Autopay
  • Select the Card you want to use
  • Lastly, click on Turn on Autopay
  • Boom you're done

From now on, your monthly Prepay renews will be paid for directly from your chosen Card. Nice.

Turn off Autopay

Time to move on? Don’t worry, if you don’t need to use Autopay anymore, you can turn it off in the Mobile app or Your 2degrees. Just follow the steps below to turn it off.

Turn off in the App

  • Open the App
  • Tap on the ‘Menu’ button
  • Tap on ‘Account settings’
  • Tap on the ‘Turn off Autopay’ button
  • That’s it, we’ve turned it off

Turn off in Your 2degrees

  • Log in to Your 2degrees
  • Head to the ‘Top up’ page
  • Go to the ‘Manage Payment Options’ page
  • Then click the ‘Turn off’ button in the Autopay section of ‘Your Payment Methods’
  • That’s it. We’ve turned it off.

You can turn it on again any time you like, but you’ll need to set it up again.

What happens if my Card declines?

If your card declines for whatever reason and we can’t renew your Prepay Add-on or Combo, we will try again using a different payment method, like your phone credit or Pack Assist.

We’ll keep you in the loop by text so you know what’s going on.

Will my Carryover Combo and Value Pack renew at the same time?

Your Carryover Combo and Value Pack’s will continue to renew on the same dates as they did before you turned on Autopay. That means if your Combo renews on the 18th, and your Value Pack renews on the 22nd, they’ll tick on these dates as per usual.

Can I have Autopay for my Carryover Combo but not my Value Pack?

To keep things simple, if you have Autopay turned on and a Carryover Combo and a Value Pack, both will renew via Autopay. That way you won’t be in a bind when your Carryover Combo renews but you forget to renew your 1GB NZ Data Pack. Easy!
