How do I sign up?

You can sign up to 2degrees Broadband online or call us on 0800 022 022. We look forward to welcoming you to the family.

Do I need a new modem?

When you join 2degrees on a contract, we’ll sort you out with a free standard connection and send you a rental modem to use while you’re with us. The modem is free (just pay a one-off $15 delivery charge); you’ll just need to return it to us when you leave or a fee of up to $165 may apply. If you've got your own modem you want use, you can choose to do that too. 

Alternatively, if you’d prefer not to be tied down, you can join on an open term plan without a contract and bring your own modem (or you can buy one off us for $165). If you choose this option you’ll need to pay $99 for your broadband connection.

Do I need to use a 2degrees modem?

No, you can bring your own modem, but we recommend you take a 2degrees modem for the best service and support. Our modems are set up ready to go, so you just need to plug it in following the instructions provided when the modem is couriered out to you. If you need a little extra help, check out our How 2 video.

If you decide to bring your own modem, that’s fine too, but we can only provide limited technical support.. You’ll need to set up your own modem yourself, with the network details we provide. Modems used for VDSL or Fibre Broadband need to be able to support VLAN tagging and PPPoE authentication. 

What about my landline number?

No problem! You can keep your existing landline number. You just need to let us know who your current provider is and what your phone number is, then we’ll have it transferred over to us. Once you’re connected with us you’ll just need to phone your old provider and cancel your account with them. Easy!
