Understanding your Business Broadband bill

Understanding your first Business Broadband bill

Your very first broadband bill will be issued, and payment taken, on the date you connect to 2degrees Business Broadband. Because we bill in advance, this is to cover your first month of plan charges.

We’ll generate your first bill at sign-up and will email this to you (you can also find it within Your 2degrees dashboard).

Your first bill is due immediately. Your first bill will include a deposit of the first month's plan fee, connection fee (if applicable), and any one-off charges such as if you’ve rented a modem from us (modem rental and delivery fees will be applied), or any 2degrees phones you’ve purchased.

Your second bill will include your normal plan fee, and any pro-rated charges from your connection date to the end of the previous month. It will also show a reversal of the deposit of one month's plan fee.

What’s my invoice date and billing cycle for Business Broadband?

Your billing cycle will be the calendar month – from the 1st to the end of each month. Each bill is generated on the 2nd of the month and is due on the 20th.

You can either make a manual payment once you have received the invoice (due by the 20th of each month) or set up an automatic payment using a credit card or direct debit account.

Automatic payments will be processed on the 20th, or the following business day if this falls on a bank holiday (for Direct Debit).

A 1.75% card payment fee applies to all Broadband payments made by Credit Card.

How are my Business Broadband Add-ons and monthly plan charged?

Plan fees and Add-on charges will be invoiced in advance. Other usage based charges will be invoiced in arrears.

Other items charged in arrears include:

  • Any fees related to changes to your connection and/or service
  • Charges for Add-ons added in the middle of your plan cycle
  • Any hardware charges (modem or phone), including shipping.

If you are an existing Snap Business customer:

  • Your billing cycle remains the same
  • You will receive your bill on your bill cycle start date
  • This is due 19 days after your bill cycle start date.

What are my payment options for Business Broadband?

There are a number of ways you can pay your bill. You can set up an automatic payment with either a credit card, debit card or Direct Debit Authority when you sign up. This payment method will be charged each month, on your billing due date.

You can also log into Your 2degrees and choose to make a manual payment with a valid credit or debit card. Cards that can be used include Visa, Mastercard and American Express. There is a 1.75% card payment fee that applies to credit card and debit card transactions.

You can also make a manual payment via Internet banking; your bill will explain what is required to do this.

Business Broadband price increase – October 2020

In September 2020 we notified business customers who signed up to broadband before 1 June 2020 that the price of their broadband plan was increasing by $4 a month from October.

Over the past four years, the costs from our suppliers for us to provide broadband have gone up. This unfortunately means we need to increase our prices so that we can continue to deliver the services that keep your business connected.

If we’ve set up the automatic payment for you via either Direct Debit or Credit Card payment, then there’s nothing you need to do. We’ll make the change on our end and automatically deduct the correct amount, including the extra $4.

If you’ve set up an automatic payment yourself with your bank, you’ll need to make sure you update the payment amount to include an extra $4. We can't do this on your behalf if you’ve set it up separately.
