Understanding your Broadband bill

Understanding your first broadband bill

Like most telcos, we charge and bill broadband in advance. This means your first bill from us will be slightly more because you’ll see a pro-rated charge to cover part of the month you join and another charge for the next month in advance. Plus, if you’re choosing to rent a modem from us, you’ll also see a $15 modem shipping and handling charge. Or, if you’ve chosen an open-term plan, you’ll see a modem and standard connection fee.

Your first bill will be generated on the day that your broadband connection is activated, and we’ll email you a summary with a link to access your bill online. Future bills will be sent on or about 7 days prior to your billing due date – this is the date your bill needs to be paid by.

Each month your nominated credit card or bank account will be debited with the amount outstanding on your account on the due date detailed on your bill.

What are my payment options for Broadband?

There are a number of ways you can pay your bill. You can set up an automatic payment with either a credit card, debit card or Direct Debit Authority when you sign up. This payment method will be charged each month, on your billing due date.

You can also log into your 2degrees account and choose to make a manual payment with a valid credit or debit card. There is a 1.75% card payment fee that applies to credit card and debit card transactions.

You can also make a manual payment via internet banking; your bill will explain what is required to do this.

If you have any questions about your bill or want to query any charges please call our Customer Care team on 0800 022 022 and select option 9.
