Broadband price increase – October 2020

From October, our broadband prices will be going up by $4 a month.

Why are you increasing the cost of broadband by $4 a month?

Over the past 4 years, the costs from our suppliers for us to provide broadband have gone up. This, unfortunately, means we need to increase our prices in order for us to continue keeping you connected to the stuff you love.

Does this apply to all broadband plans?

The $4 per month increase applies to our current Unlimited and 80GB broadband plans.

Does this apply to existing customers as well as new customers?

The short answer is, yes. If you’re on our current Unlimited or 80GB broadband plan, then your monthly cost from October 2020 will go up by $4 a month. There are some exceptions as to the timing of the increase for customers who have recently joined us for broadband, but we’ll be in touch separately with these guys.

What about your Ultimate Unlimited Fibre plan?

There has been no change to the price of our Ultimate Unlimited Fibre plan, so if you’re on this plan, you’ll continue paying the same as you are today.

I’m on an old retired plan, will this be impacted?

No, if you’re on an old retired plan, these plans are not changing. But you might want to have a look at our new plans, as you could be better off. You can take a look at them .

What about your Home Wireless or Rural Broadband plan?

There has been no change to the price of our Home Wireless or Rural Broadband plans, so if you’re on either of these plans, you’ll continue paying the same as you are today.

What about my Home Phone – will this increase as well?

No, there has been no change to the price of our Home Phone products, so if you have a phone line, you’ll continue paying the same for this service as you are today.

What if I want to leave as a result of this?

We’d be sad to see you go! But we understand that price increases can be tough, so if you do decide you wish to leave us as a result of this price increase, you’re able to do so without incurring early exit fees for 30 days before the increase is introduced, even if you’re still in a contract. You can’t ask for fairer than that, right? But if your modem is a free rental modem it must be returned, or charges may apply.

Do I need to make any changes to my automatic bill payment?

If we’ve set up the automatic payment for you via either Direct Debit or Credit Card payment, then there’s nothing you need to do. We’ll make the change on our end and when the time comes, we’ll automatically deduct the correct amount, including the extra $4.

If you’ve set up an automatic payment yourself with your bank, you’ll need to make sure you update the payment amount to include an extra $4. We aren’t able to do this on your behalf if you’ve set it up separately.
