Delivering high quality Unit4 Business World implementations and services, the global, cloud-first company has delivered transformational solutions to some of the world’s largest Unit4 customers and recently achieved the coveted ISO27001 Information Security certification.

Its New Zealand-based team switched its communications to 2degrees in 2014, and now uses a combination of mobile and broadband to run its New Zealand operations.

Global Operations Manager, Matthew Pritchard, says Agilyx switched to 2degrees not only for cost efficiencies but also in the pursuit of a superior level of service.

“We had become quite dissatisfied with our previous provider so began looking at our options and couldn’t go past 2degrees. Their account management is far superior and 2degrees makes it really easy for us to do business.

We like the way 2degrees proposes a solution and follows through with it really efficiently. You get what you need, fast, and, because you only deal with one account manager, it makes it all exceptionally easy,” he says.

Agilyx’s New Zealand team includes a mix of office-based staff and a team of consultants who work out in the field with customers to design and deliver solutions for them.

“With 2degrees, we feel we not only get value for money, but also a sound communications partner who understands our needs.

2degrees’ plans are very straight forward and aren’t designed to lock you in to any long-term contracts. This has given us the flexibility we need – particularly when it comes to staff transitioning in and out of the business or when we need to bring in contractors. 2degrees understands the needs of today’s businesses and their plans fully reflect that.”

Pritchard says one of the most impactful communications changes Agilyx has implemented is 2degrees ‘local number on your mobile’ service.

“We saw an opportunity and seized it – and 2degrees made sure it was seamless. As a result, we have been able to cut the number of fixed phone lines we had in the office and, after trialing it for a while, were then able to remove our remaining phones lines completely, with confidence.

It’s been really successful as we can still operate a local, office number through our mobiles without any external impact. There’s no barrier to doing it and a lot of great upsides. We have been able to strip out unnecessary operating costs and eliminate the need to maintain old-style copper phone lines. As an example of the benefits, we recently relocated our office and all we had to do is take our mobiles with us and we were back to work.”

Pritchard says having a reliable mobile service not only gives the business flexibility, but also the confidence of business continuity.

“Having our office and direct phone numbers on our mobiles means we can now do business from anywhere, regardless of what happens, which is something we have to be mindful of when living on a fault line in Wellington!

Couple that with 2degrees’ WiFi Calling capability and we have full confidence that our business continuity planning means we can still be available for our customers, should something occur.”

Pritchard says, on a practical level, it is also really simple to do business with 2degrees.

“When it comes to our communications – I just want simplicity. I just want it to work, and if I have a problem, I want to be able to contact someone straight away and get it fixed. 2degrees delivers all of that and gives us confidence that we can run our business the way we need to, regardless of where we are located.”
