Go abroad without it costing the earth.

Taking your mobile overseas is never cheap, but it often costs less than you think. Especially when our international roaming prices are so competitive. 

If you use your mobile, you simply pay for your calls as you travel, just like you would at home. And if someone calls you, it’s just $1 a minute or part minute to receive calls and nothing extra to receive texts.

If you’re going to be overseas for more than a few days though, you might want to keep your mobile costs down by picking-up a pre-paid SIM from a local mobile provider – but check their international calling (calling home) rates first!

Travelling to the USA or Canada?

If you’re heading to America, you need to make sure the mobile you take supports the American or Canadian network frequencies. North American mobile networks run on 850MHz and 1900MHz, so check your phone will run on one of these before you hop on the plane.

It’s easy to top up while overseas.

If you’re overseas you can use your credit card to top up online or you can call +64 22 2002000 to top up over the phone. Calls to this number are charged at international roaming prices.

A note about overseas networks.

When you roam overseas, you use networks that aren’t controlled by 2degrees.  While we expect those networks to provide a quality service, we can’t be responsible if there are performance or other issues.
