Message Center Number
With your iPhone it uses codes for some services such as the Message centre number (also known as SMSC). This number enables the ability to send and receive texts to and from your device. The SMSC number for 2Degrees is: +64220227672 so it’s very important to ensure this information is correct when having problems texting.
The Code: *#5005*7672#
Displays the SMSC Settings on your phone (example picture to the left)
The Code: **5005*7672*SMSCNUMBER#
Changes the SMSC Number to the SMSCNUMBER you define.
This MUST be in international format
i.e. **5005*7672*+64220227672# for 2degrees SMSC
From here you're all done!. All you need to do is turn your device off and back on again.
If you have any problems or other questions please call us from a different phone on 0800 022 022 and select option 1 then 3 to speak to the Data team
