The Accelerating Aotearoa’s Talent programme is a registered charity which provides career guidance to Maori students in the final years of secondary school, encouraging them to progress into ICT training and jobs.

With a focus on Maori students in Auckland’s decile 1 and 2 schools, it complements existing career programmes. Importantly, it also involves students’ families, recognising that the step into further education will require broader family commitment to be successful.

In addition to programme funding, 2degrees will facilitate the participation of Hei Rere Mai Scholarship winners and have Maori employees visit schools to advise young M¿ori on careers in the telecommunications industry.
