Auto Top Up

Auto Top Up is a super-smart invention from 2degrees that automatically keeps you topped up and removes the drama and worry of running out of credit.

What is it?

Auto Top Up is a handy 2degrees service that lets you top up when your balance runs low.  Every time your balance drops below $2.50 we’ll either:

- Top you up instantly by your chosen amount and send you a text to confirm, or
- Send you a text message to check you want to top up.  If you reply with 'Y' within 48 hours we'll top you up by your chosen amount.  If you don’t reply, that's fine too, nothing will happen.
 
It only takes a couple of minutes to set up Auto Top Up in Your 2degrees and then you're good to go.  You're in complete control because you choose your top up amount, and with the option of us sending you a text to check you want to top up first, you'll always know what's going on.  You can change or end your Auto Top Up whenever you want.

We think Auto Top Up is a huge improvement to pre-pay mobile, and we're proud to say that you can only get this service on 2degrees.

Setting yourself up

Setting up an Auto Top Up only takes a couple of minutes and then topping up is a breeze.

1. Login to Your 2degrees and choose Top Up from the menu on the left of the screen
2. Click on the 'Set up an Auto Top Up' button
3. Enter the amount you’d like to top up each time your balance drops below $2.50
4. Choose whether you would like an instant top up 'Just top me up' or whether you want us to send you a text to check first 'Text me first'
5. Then, if you haven't already, register your credit or debit card for payment through our secure accredited payment processor, Flo2Cash

After that, you're good to go!

The instant 'Just top me up' option

When your balance drops below $2.50, we’ll instantly top you up by your chosen amount and charge it to the credit card you’ve registered.  We'll then send you a text to confirm that the top up has happened.

The 'Text me first' option

When your balance drops below $2.50, we’ll send you a text asking whether you want to top up. You’ve got 48 hours to text back ‘Y’ or ‘y’ to this query.  If you do, we’ll top you up by your chosen amount and charge it to the credit card you’ve registered. If you don’t reply, that’s fine - no top up will happen.

Managing your Auto Top Up

You can view your  Auto Top Up preferences in Your 2degrees. You can change the amount of your top up, turn the text query on or off, or end your Auto Top Up whenever you want.  If you don't have internet access and need to stop your Auto Top Up, our Customer Care team are also available free 24/7 on 200 or 0800 022 022 to do this for you.

Card Security

We use Flo2Cash for processing our credit and debit card payments. They are an independent, industry-accredited merchant who securely manage payments and registered cards for us. 2degrees doesn’t see or store your credit card details at any point.

What happens if my phone is lost or stolen?

Please let us know straight away if your phone is lost or stolen so that we can suspend both your prepay  account and your Auto Top Up service. You can also suspend everything yourself in Your 2degrees. This way you’ll stop any would-be thief using your prepay credit or getting an Auto Top Up on your phone. Like all top ups, there is a limit on the maximum amount that can be topped up by Auto Top Up in a 24 hour period.
